FAQS & Info

Important Information for Your Booking

To help your day run smoothly and ensure you’re ready by the agreed time, please take a moment to review the following guidelines before your appointment. These details are designed to make your experience as seamless and enjoyable as possible:

Before Your Appointment

Every bridal or editorial experience with Sheuli is designed to feel calm, luxurious, and effortless from beginning to end. To ensure your day runs seamlessly and you enjoy every moment without stress, a few simple preparations can make all the difference. The following information has been thoughtfully curated to help you feel fully prepared and confident ahead of your appointment so you can relax and focus on the joy of your occasion while Sheuli takes care of the rest.

Important Note:

If you are booking only Bridal Hijab Styling, it is recommended not to book make-up and hijab styling simultaneously. For the best outcome, hijab styling should take place after make-up, as it may require your head to move into different positions during the process.

On the Day

    • It is advisable to wear your outfit beforehand to avoid any marks or smudges during the application process.

    • Consider wearing a protective gown or robe over your outfit during make-up and styling to keep it pristine.

Bridal outfit (wear prior to arrival for ease of make-up application)

    • Heels

    • Jewellery

    • Ironed hijab

    • Bouquet, handbag, dupatta, or veil

  • For best results:

    • Set up downstairs, near a window with natural daylight for optimal make-up application.

Exfoliate, cleanse, moisturise, and apply lip balm before Sheuli’s arrival.

    Please provide:

    • A full-length mirror for hijab styling and jewellery/dupatta setting.

    • Two chairs and a table for setting up the make-up kit.

    • A power point and sufficient space for lighting and setup (extension leads are helpful).

If you have a preferred make-up or hijab style, have reference photos ready.

  • Preparing your skin in advance is one of the most valuable investments you can make in your bridal journey — ensuring your make-up not only looks flawless but feels radiant, fresh, and naturally luminous throughout your special day.

Beautiful make-up begins with beautiful skin. Establishing a consistent skincare routine is one of the most important steps in achieving a healthy, radiant, and luminous complexion for your special day. Thoughtful preparation ensures your make-up sits seamlessly and enhances your natural glow rather than masking it.

It is highly recommended to begin a tailored skincare routine at least six months before your wedding and, where possible, to schedule professional facials with a qualified facial specialist in advance of the big day.

Peach Fuzz & Dermaplaning for Flawless Makeup

For the smoothest, most flawless makeup application, removing peach fuzz is highly recommended. It creates a clean, even canvas for your makeup, helping it glide on seamlessly and look polished all day. Dermaplaning takes this a step further—it gently exfoliates the skin while removing fine hair, leaving your complexion radiant, smooth, and ready for a beautiful, long-lasting finish.

Pro Tip from Sheuli:Taking this extra step not only enhances your makeup but also leaves your skin feeling soft and refreshed—perfect for any special occasion or everyday glow.

    Recommended Routine

    1. Exfoliate regularly to gently remove dead skin cells and reveal a brighter, smoother surface.

    2. Cleanse morning and evening to lift away impurities, oil, and build-up.

    3. Tone to balance and hydrate your skin.

    4. Apply serum to target specific skin concerns such as dullness, pigmentation, or fine lines.

    5. Use a sheet mask or face mask suited to your skin’s needs for an added boost of hydration or clarity.

    6. Gently apply eye cream to refresh and soothe the delicate under-eye area.

    7. Moisturise to nourish and create a smooth, supple base for make-up.

    8. Apply SPF 50+ sunscreen daily to protect against UV damage and preserve an even, glowing tone.

    Additional Tips for Radiant Skin

    • Use sheet masks to deliver hydration and address specific concerns in the weeks leading up to your wedding.

    • Incorporate facial oils for added nourishment, suited to your skin type.

    • Regular face masks can enhance hydration, brightness, and clarity.

    • Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day.

    • Maintain a balanced diet rich in fruits and vegetables for a natural, healthy glow.

    • Ensure you get adequate sleep to allow the skin to repair and rejuvenate overnight.

    • Reduce salt intake to minimise puffiness and water retention.
